Join The Bridge Collective, an all-volunteer, grassroots organization, and help Central Texans access reproductive healthcare resources!

Our volunteers deliver Plan B and pregnancy test kits to people in the greater Austin area.

With additional training, our volunteers also provide rides to appointments at Austin Women's Health Center, which is Austin's independent abortion-positive health center. AWHC provides ultrasounds, pre- and post-abortion care, and miscarriage management, as well as birth control and other reproductive health services, all at low costs with financial assistance available.

Without volunteers, the essential services we provide to Central Texans would go unanswered.

CLIENT INTAKE COORDINATOR VOLUNTEERS

CIC volunteers keep our hotline running! The CIC Volunteers are the first point of contact for people needing support. This is a moment of vulnerability, and these volunteers must show compassion while accurately completing intakes for new clients.

In addition, these volunteers are a resource to transportation volunteers. We are looking for patient individuals to fill these roles who can maintain the privacy of the people with which they work, interact with clients of widely varying circumstances, and who circumstances as needed.

NOTE:

Bridge Collective has paused our abortion support services and is taking some time to evaluate its operations in light of the recent decision in Jackson Women’s Health v. Dobbs, which has changed almost 50 years of settled law related to reproductive and constitutional rights.  While continuing to be focused on reproductive justice and access to important care for Texans, we are also undertaking substantial consideration and effort to ensure the organization and our volunteers are safe from punitive legal action in this new landscape for abortion rights.

CORE MEMBER

Core Members help keep the Bridge Collective operating smoothly! They attend monthly meetings, help organize volunteer trainings, and work on the various committees that keep the Bridge Collective running.

The Bridge Collective is an all-volunteer, consensus-based, grassroots organization, committed to decentralizing power and decision-making whenever possible. We fully believe that giving our time and talents to help make our community more equitable is the best route to bridge the gap between healthcare and access.
